65 Years Later
A comparison of Hiroshima, Japan and Detroit, Michigan.

 

Everyone has heard about the two atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima and Nagasaki in August of 1945, and the pictures of the destruction are hard to forget:

As we near the 65th anniversary from this first ever nuclear attack on a city in we look to see how far the city has come since the horrific attack.

 

 

 

 

The progress they have made in these 65 years is astounding.
Conversely, if we look at Detroit in the late '40s we see this:

 

 

 

 

And, to compare, Detroit today:

 

 

 

 

It seems the nuclear attack only allowed for progress for the Japanese.
