U.S. Senator Strom Thurmond recently requested that the Federal Investigators come to South Carolina. The problem: The Savannah River Site has a surplus of computers for sale. The problem with this is that there are reports of the computers being sold to some private companies in China-still with secret Savannah River Site data on them. The Federal inspectors are there now in Aiken, South Carolina reviewing the situation spokesman John DeCrosta stated Friday, January 14, 2000.
